First Friday Art Walk

Enjoy the latest exhibits, music, entertainment and refreshments at over 20 participating galleries. St Augustine Sightseeing Trains and Old Town Trolleys offer a complimentary shuttle service to most of the galleries. First Friday of every month from 5 to 9pm. Free. Uptown Saturday Night - Sat 28 April

Galleries, antique stores and unique shops on St. Augustine's San Marco Avenue between Ripley's Museum and the Mission de Nombre de Dios remain open from 5 to 9pm and feature book signings, live music, refreshments and other activities. Mission de Nombre de Dios provides free parking.

Annual St. Augustine Easter Parade - April 8

Enjoy marching bands, floats, drill teams, clowns, the Royal family, and the city's carriage horses. Parade begins at 3pm at the Mission de Nombre de Dios and winds through downtown St. Augustine. For information call 904.829.2333.

Historic Weapons Demonstrations at Fort Matanzas - April 14

Take the ferry to Rattlesnake Island and experience daily military life at Fort Matanzas - the 18th century Spanish fort that guarded the southern approach to St. Augustine. From 12.30-3.30pm re-enactors demostrate Spanish muskets and cannons at the fort. Admission is free. For information call 904.471.0116.

16th Annual Flower & Garden Expo - April 21 & 22

Celebrate the arrival of Spring with two days of flowers, friends and fun. Admission is $5.00, children under 11 yrs are free. The Expo takes place at the St. John's County Agricultural Center. Hours are Saturday 9am to 5pm, and Sunday 10am to 4pm. For information call 904.829.3295.

National Park Week at Castillo de San Marcos - April 21 thru 29

Take advantage of free admission all week to Castillo de San Marcos during National Parks Week. Friday to Saturday Visitors can also experience living history during Spanish Military cannon firings.

State Street Ballet - Jungle Book - April 22

HMS Bounty visits St. Augustine - April 26-30

Go aboard the The Bounty, built for the 1962 move Mutiny on the Bounty with Marlon Brando, when it stops at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina for dockside tours. Guests can learn how the ship works today from the crew members who sail her, as well as see how sailors lived and worked 200 years ago.

Rhythm & Ribs Festival - April 27-29

Enjoy non-stop music and award-winning scrumptious barbecue all weekend long. Festival takes place at Francis Field. Hours are Friday 5.00-10.00pm, Saturday 11am-10pm, and Sunday 11am-6pm. Taste of St. Augustine - April 28

Savor the unique tastes of St. Augustine during this flavorful event that showcases the signature dishes of more than 30 area restaurants. Event takes place at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.
